f203 dragon ii
A fictional fighter jet from the Macross franchise. It first appeared in the Choujikuu Yousai Macross anime series from 1982.
The McNell Douglar F203 Dragon II fighter jet is an advanced delta wing combat aircraft developed by the OTEC research institute and adopted as the main fighter of the U.N. Forces in 2003.
Built as a delta wing aircraft with OverTechnology, the F203 was stronger, faster and more efficient than previous fighter aircraft.
The craft was much more maneuverable than conventional fighter jets and was light despite equipment for V/STOL capabilities.
Roy Focker flew an F203 during his service as a fighter pilot in the United Nations Wars.
In real life the jet was designed by Kawamori Shouji in the early 80s.
