f-105 thunderchief
A large jet fighter-bomber produced by the Republic Aviation Corporation in the 1950s. Originally armed with a nuclear weapon, it was adapted to carry conventional munitions and saw action in the Vietnam war. The two-seat F-105F and F-105G Wild Weasels were later developed to suppress enemy air defenses.
The F-105 usually carried up to 6,400 kg (14,000 lb) of freefall bombs, plus AIM-9 Sidewinder AAMs or AGM-12 Bullpup air-to-surface missiles. It was also armed with a 20mm cannon on the port side of the nose.
