endless knot
A type of "auspicious symbol". Several knots tied together; the complexity of the knot can vary, and it has a multitude of meanings.
Also known as the infinity knot. In Hinduism, it's called the Shrivatsa.
It is an important symbol in Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism. It's also an important cultural marker in places influenced by Tibetan Buddhism, such as Tibet, Mongolia, Tuva, Kalmykia, and Buryatia. It is also found in Celtic, Kazakh and Chinese symbolism.
Edless knots can be either celtic or chinese.
The Chinese panchang knot is a type of endless knot.
