donetsk people's republic flag
The flag of the Donetsk People’s Republic, an internationally unrecognized republic of Russia located in Ukraine's Donetsk Oblast. It was created by Russian-backed paramilitaries in 2014, and it initially operated as a breakaway state until it was annexed by Russia in 2022.
The design of the flag consists of a black stripe on top, a dark blue stripe in the center, and a red stripe on the bottom. On occasion, the region’s coat of arms may be displayed in the center, along with the Republic’s name written among it.
