Male character from Pokémon Black and White. He is the Grass-type Gym Leader of the first Gym in Isshu, Sanyou City.

In the anime, he joins Ash's quest in the new region. In addtion, he is called a Pokémon Sommelier who can see the compatibility between a Pokémon and its Trainer. He is said to have a lot of knowledge on Pokémon. His main Pokémon is Pansage.
