colorado (azur lane)
Personification of the nameship of the USS Colorado-class battleships with the callsign BB-45 as depicted in Azur Lane, and also one of the "Big Seven". She was initially introduced alongside her sisters in Fallen Wings event on the Chinese server in December 2017. However, a conflict between Yostar and the artist that designed Colorado and her sisters had made the event delayed for other servers until October 2018 when another artist was commissioned to redesign her.
Appearance
Her "original design" by Rail (Silverbow) (post #2973322) portrays her with long black hair, wears a blue and white sleeveless shirt, a black pencil skirt, a white thighhighs and a pair of white cross-laced high heel boots that displays her hull number. She also wears a garrison cap with a hat feather.
Eventually on October 2018, Yostar commissioned another artist, Chuzenji to redesign her. Under the redesign (post #3297428), Colorado and her sisters is now themed after gothic vampires. For Colorado, she now sports a long white hair. She still wears a sleeveless shirt albeit now in black and white and showing her sideboob, as well as a black coat. Her legwear is now changed to a cross-laced thighhigh boots and no longer having a cap.
History
In real life, Colorado was the first of her class to receive upgrades that were originally planned in 1940. These were to have replaced her 127 mm single mounts with the newer twin mounts Mk. 28 that were entering service with the North Carolina and South Dakota classes but she only received torpedo bulges on the West Coast given the dire urgency of the situation, and thus was spared from damage when Pearl Harbor was attacked.
Little to no modifications were afforded to her and her sister Maryland apart from rolling upgrades to their AA guns, while they saw service for patrol and shore bombardment duties through the war. She arrived in Leyte Gulf too late to participate in the battle, and was decommissioned in 1947.
