bumblebee (transformers)

A character from the Transformers science fiction franchise.

Bumblebee is an heroic Autobot, a sentient alien robot that can transform into a yellow Volkswagen Beetle compact car.

He is prominently featured in the live action movie series as a sidekick of Optimus Prime. In the movie, he changed his vehicular form into 2007 Chevrolet Camaro and being mute most of the time due to damaged sound chip, a trait that is carried over to his later depiction in various media.

In Japan his name was changed to Bumble. Bumblebee's alternate mode is similar to Bug Bite's from the rival GoBots franchise.
