arched crown
A crown consisting of multiple metallic arches converging where the orb of the crown, or monde, would be at the very top. The arches may or may not be lined with gems. The crown's cross, located atop the monde, would either be an actual cross to represent the Christian influence of monarchies, or can possess a different shape. The crown's cap is lined with velvet that has a ermine base, although there are arched crowns with no cap present. Red velvet is typical of real-like royal crowns, and are frequently the basic depiction for arched crowns in artwork.
