andromeda (constellation)
Andromeda is a constellation located in the Northern celestial hemisphere. It is named after the chained princess Andromeda in Greek mythology, daughter of Cassiopeia. Its brightest star is Alpheratz.
Andromeda's brightest star is connected to the constellation of Pegasus, so they are often depicted as a single-like constellation, with Andromeda often resembling the hind legs. What are interpreted as Andromeda's legs point to her husband, Perseus.
