A Better Tomorrow (Chinese: 英雄本色; literally "True Colors of a Hero") is a 1986 Hong Kong movie which started the Heroic Bloodshed genre of action movies in Hong Kong. The movie launched the career of Chow Yun-Fat, whose role as the Triad gangster Mark Gor defined badass, and established John Woo as one of Hong Kong's leading action directors.
