A.R.E.S.: Extinction Agenda is a run-and-gun platforming game by the Thailand-based Extend Studios and published by ORiGO Games. It was a runner-up on Microsoft's Dream.Build.Play contest of 2010. The game centers around the titular Ares, a combat robot developed to fight mutated robots infected with a mysterious gas known as "Zytron" while investigating a derelict space station. The game is noted being for borrowing gameplay elements from Abuse and Metroid with a rock-inspired soundtrack by HyperDuck Studios. It was remade in 2013 for the Xbox 360 and re-released on PC in 2014 as A.R.E.S.: Extinction Agenda EX, featuring streamlined gameplay elements, new content, and an extra playable character.
