30 Rock is an American satirical sitcom created by Tina Fey that aired from October 11, 2006, to January 31, 2013 for seven seasons on NBC.
Based on Tina Fey's experience as a head writer on Saturday Night Live, the series follows Liz Lemon(played by Tina Fey) as head writer and showrunner of the fictional sketch comedy show, TGS with Tracy, located at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York(30 Rock), where SNL is produced in Real Life.
The show is famous not only for it's surreal humor but also of making fun of the tv network the show airs on, NBC, and the corporate owners of the network, General Electric and Comcast.
