Monogatari (物語, lit. "Story") is a series of Japanese light novels written by Japanese novelist Nisio Isin and illustrated by Taiwanese illustrator Vofan. 29 volumes in the series have been published since November 2006.
The story centers on Araragi Koyomi, a third-year high school student who survived a vampire attack, and finds himself helping some girls involved with all kinds of apparitions, gods, ghosts, mythological beasts, and spirits.
The series has been animated by Shaft multiple times since 2009. A manga adaptation, illustrated by Oh! great and titled Bakemonogatari, was serialized from 2018 to 2023.
