This is the writer for StrangeChameleon, Hisaka speaking.
Seeing as this is my first ReiMari book, I thought I had a lot to write in the afterword, but apparently it needs to fit on the publication info page, so I'll try to be brief.
Having just finished a busy period at work, and reread Forbidden Scrollery for the umpteenth time, the sight of these two's daily life just got me thinking and this story kind of swelled up from there. FS is good stuff, huh? Whenever I read it, my head is filled with ideas for stories I want to write. It's a crying shame the final chapter came out just the other day, but I had fun to the end. Harukawa-sensei, thanks for your hard work.
As far as fanworks go, I feel like Marisa's future and becoming a youkai is a pretty major theme, so having come all the way here, I'm glad to have finally touched on it, albeit pretty lightly.
I previously published a book named "Instant Phantasm" where I wrote something about Marisa's future as I saw it at the time, but by now, a lot of those ideas have already changed, so I feel like it might not hurt to go back to that concept at some point.
Right now I still have plots for at least two more ReiMari books, so I think the next one will be another of those. It would mean the world to me if you stick around.
And so, that was "Turn Your Back to the Sunrise".
I hope you enjoyed it. I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
I hope we can meet again over our next book.
Well then, see you.
