The carrier Katsuragi was the last ship completed as an aircraft carrier.
By the time her construction was finished, there was a shortage of both ship-borne planes and fuel, so she never had even one opportunity to sortie.
However, after the war, she put her huge size and functions to good use as a demobilization carrier. Over the course of a year, she succeeded in bringing back nearly 50,000 people from places like Rabaul, Indochina and Australia.
