Manga artist Akamatsu Ken ran for and won a seat as a representative in the 2022 Japanese House of Councillors election. In running, he used illustrations he drew featuring characters from the manga and anime series he created in his prior career (e.g. those from Love Hina, Mahou Sensei Negima!, and UQ Holder!) to advertise and spread word of his political campaign.
This is a series of works that either featured directly in his campaign, or are derived from them.
