Deletion appeal thread

It's subjective, but that's why we have an appeals thread and a large number of jan/mod/admin level users, all drawn from the userbase here. It's not just one or two people imposing their will.

Think of them as a danbooru mirror but without any quality control. Some people actually prefer that, so they serve a purpose. And it gives us somewhere to point people who say we delete all their favorite images (no, not implying you're in that category, but others in the past have been).

Not really, it depends on which/what kind of people are being selected as jan/mod/admin. The fact that everyone tastes may differ (for example, one might like it, but the other one doesn't) is the real subject here, we all have our own tastes in quality and art right? Decisions are still limited to those who were given positions. Yes, they are drawn from the userbase, but that doesn't mean they represent it as a whole (they do, however, have the right to regulate of course, otherwise, this imageboard would be chaotic)

Hmm, maybe you guys could run a voting system instead for the images lol

Nah, I don't really much care as to why it wasn't approved, this is how this imageboard work and I shall abide to that, so no probs on that end

Yes the decisions are in the hands of people who were chosen, but those people were chosen by the owner of the site. Danbooru is, by design, not a democracy.

Actually, I was just debating the point on the fact about what you said on

Not to poke my nose in other people's business, but I think that was Minase's point: Even if it's a game CG, it's still the same as every other image in that respect.

I'm fully aware of Danbooru's policy on game CGs and I'm not opposing it whatsoever. I was just trying to clarify Minase's argument (heaven knows why I bothered).

You can always presume that if an image isn't unappealed, yes. I know that a number of mods read this thread, so an image never needs to be reappealed.
