5. Also, I suppose current tags would implicate the new ones, this way: pokemon diamond and pearl -> pokemon dppt; etc.

I think the remakes should be put in the same generation as the originals. They involve too much of the same places and people to be made separate, and that's what's relevant to Danbooru.
(...) think about how the remakes names are just modified names of the originals. Pokemon HGSS/FRLG can just be aliased to the originals to prevent confusion, with a note in the wiki for the explanation.

(...) I still feel unsure about only using pokemon_heartgold_and_soulsilver for alterations from GSC, which would exclude kotone_(pokemon) and, depending on what's depicted, the Pokéathlon.
I like the initializations, though, since they cover the "third versions". ("Pt" still kinda bugs me, even though it's on the periodic table and all; I'd just as soon leave it at "DPP", but the former is more ubiquitous.)

(...) then pokemon heartgold and soulsilver would be aliased to the convenient pokemon gsc, that encompasses all the characters and clothes of the same storyline together:
(The four quotes above are a somewhat messy summary of the whole proposal, taken from the thoughtful conversation that happened in this thread one week ago. It conveniently serves as context to what I have to say below.)
Here is the full organized project, with a list of all the aliases that conform to the proposal.
Part I, unaliasing current tags:
(Explanation: These are the current aliases that may need to be undone, if that helps.)
Part II, aliasing pairs of games:
(Disclaimer: These are the actual pairs of games released together by Nintendo, that are
well-known in specific word orders, e.g. "pokemon ruby and sapphire". I'm not asking for any random two games or word orders, like "pokemon sapphire and ruby" or "pokemon ruby and emerald", that would be technically accurate aliases but seldom or never actually used by people.)
Part III, moving a manga tag:
(Explanation: In the current unchanged system, we have these aliases:
In the current unchanged system, we would have to alias "pokemon_dp" to "pokemon_diamond_and_pearl", for consistency. The current proposal is somewhat different, because pokemon diamond and pearl would become pokemon dppt [an abbreviation of "Pokémon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum"], so pokemon dp would become an alias to pokemon dppt instead. However, now pokemon dp represents the manga "Pocket Monsters Diamond-Pearl Legend: Pokémon D・P", with only 7 posts.)
(Compare pocket monsters (manga), a different manga tag.)
Part IV, aliasing short forms:
(Disclaimer: Same as the part II, only listing common abbreviations and nothing random. Interestingly, post #1011207 displays some abbreviations in big letters.)
Part V, aliasing individual games:
Part VI, the end:
- Just updating the five wikis, and tagging posts. Both the current and new tags would be available, either as aliases or as main names.
EDITS:
- Some wording.
- Adding, and later expanding, the "part III", about the mangá Pokémon D・P.
- Mentioning post #1011207 somewhere.
- Adding "pokemon r&b", "pokemon g&s" and "pokemon r&s".
