Thread idea: A place to allow member level users to request for images to be flagged

It's not what Danbooru was created for in any way, shape, or form. Art by Japanese, by Westerners or whomever of Japanese IPs, or classical Japanese art, that's all fine. I'd even extend to obvious cases of classic impressionism or otherwise that fall under Japonism. But Bouguereau is so far outside Danbooru's scope that I'm not sure why they're allowed no matter how good they are.

I would call Bouguereau off topic. While I wouldn't delete it, I wouldn't approve it either.

It's hard to come up with criteria for what sort of well-drawn art belongs on this site. I think this is just going to be a gray area that needs to be handled case by case.

So, to get back on topic, I think the "flagging request thread" idea sounds good. As long as there is some rule about having to put a specific reason for each post so people don't go posting stuff like "All of artist_x's stuff because it sucks!"

Unless I missed something, I don't think a consensus was made. I'm thinking of doing what I did for the translation request thread: Create a trial, and if it works, keep it, and if not, lock it.

If we go ahead and decide to give it a whirl, what do we do about really old images that preceded the moderation queue? There's a few pieces of crap that have just been sitting around and stewing for a few years, should they be fair game as well?
