Disgustingly Adorable Discussion

Uh, I was responding to StriderTuna in that paragraph. That's why I quoted him. Try not to take things so personally.

My bad I read it the second half through reply so it lost the quote. Sorry about that.

Anyway had it be directed at me (I assumed it was) of course I would take it personally since it was... well directed at me.

Name names. Get them in here. Let's have ourselves a group therapy session/Jerry Springer episode.

You? You talk about people bitching. Where are these people and why are you concerned about them? Where is this happening?

You're neither Janitor nor Mod; why is it so terribly difficult for you to ignore this "anyone"?

You?

Ooh, burn.

Anyway, forum #51609 is the only one I can pull up, since searching for "disgustingly adorable" crashes the comment search, but there have been a few more scrums here and there in comments. (I seem to recall one getting rowdy enough for bans/comment deletions, but I didn't see any record of that in the forum, so I may be imagining it.)

I guess I'm just biased in that I personally don't use any of the "patently subjective" (because hey, if you're going to accuse me of "pulling a Wikipedia" I may as well take their lingo too) pools like DA, Badass, and Clever, so any anger they cause, among their own clique of users or for Danbooru's userbase at large, seems like anger that could have been avoided. But hey, if I'm exaggerating the scale of the disorder, so much the better; we can make a "Subjective Pool Maintenance Thread" and ne'er shall I darken their doorstep with my baseless accusations again.

If you hnnngggged at that yanagi picture, chances are you'll do on the others, therefore you'll want to click the artist tag and maybe suscribe. And that's all we need.
If you didn't like it, you probably don't want to find more pictures by the artist further in the pool.

What you really need is this:
Separate pools into themed pools and sequential image pools.
Themed pools get a feature called "group by artist" which shows n+1 subcategories for n artists + arttags:0 ordered by pool intern-post order. The thumbnail for each artist category is the latest added image. Artists are only in the pool "once". If you don't like an artist's images, you can skip them.
Sequential image pools can be grouped into "parts" or "chapters".
Pools could include pools instead of the first post of another pool
