Pointless tags: female

shoujo-ai? girl's_love?

We've had this discussion before. Left to their own devices, yuri fans would tag every single image with "yuri"; to preserve the focus of that tag, we had to give them something else to tag things with, and so "2girls" was born. It's meant to be treated as "I think it's yuri but it's not so obvious" by yuri maniacs, and as noise by everyone else.

Search the forum for the previous discussions before posting, or you'll end up wasting everyone's time. I'm looking at you, Fencedude.

I was there for the original discussion, and 2girls is still a terrible tag, for many reasons mentioned previously.

Sorry for the necropost, but I noticed that female has been revived again.

Anyone still want to keep the tag, or can we re-nuke it?

Ah, no, I was making a half-hearted suggestion that for mixed gender/sex images, assuming those are less voluminous here than female-only ones, with their own tag akin to male.

Keep an eye on the female wiki page. It was edited just a moment ago. I just reverted it back.

I didn't think that was necessary, yet. Plus I don't think I have the power to do that.

Well I didn't mean you specifically should lock the page. You have same access rights as I do and I'm aware the Contributers can't lock pages. I meant that if we absolutely do not want to use this tag, then maybe a mod or admin should lock the page so there's no misinterpretation at any point.

Added a link to this discussion and locked the female wiki.
