Notes vs. hard scanlations

I haven't been able to view many mangas on Danbooru yet, but what is the official site policy on uploading images with translations edited into the image itself, rather than annotated with notes? Acceptable but discouraged, or absolutely out of the question?

It's fine. Just try to group them together using parent/child posts.

Fix up the next/previous links too, or use a pool. Parent/child doesn't help a bit with navigation.
