The Long Quiet is the actual name of the character; "The Hero" is an unofficial title sometimes used as a placeholder for the player character's true name The Long Quiet as said name is only given near the end of the game.
The Long Quiet is preferable as the main tag since A. it's flat out the character's name; The Narrator reveals it as his name and identity, the protagonist then refers to himself as The Long Quiet, and it's the only name the player can give to the Princess when she asks for the protagonist's name (Voice of the Hero also comments on "hero" not being the protagonist's name) and B. This prevents confusion from the implication it is referring to Voice of the Hero specifically, as the names of the Voices are sometimes shortened when being referred to, ie a fan work may refer to Voice of the Hero as simply "The Hero".

It's also a spoiler, something you briefly hinted at in your ChatGPT-written post. The Hero doesn't discover his true identity until you collect enough Princess forms, which by then you blow the lid on the entire plot.

Also, the Voice of the Hero is literally a disembodied voice in your head. How anyone would get the two confused in visual art is beyond me.

You make a good point. In that case would it be preferable to make the_long_quiet_(slay_the_princess) an alias of of the_hero_(slay_the_princess), or simply nuke the TLQ tag? Because someone had already used the TLQ character tag for a handful of images with the character, resulting in two unaliased tags both being used for the same character which is what I would like to be resolved.
