Most of the images in this tag are not referencing any specific meme (aside from this one, which I can't find the name of) and are simply just depicting illusion cakes.

As someone that has recently binge-watched The Great British Bake Off and Is It Cake? (don't worry, I will make sure to upload some anime dakimakuras of Paul Hollywood soon), I can confirm that the entire concept of illusion cakes is not inherently a meme.

To be clear, when I created this tag in 2021, there had been a recent flood of meme content involving this concept. Not a lot of art parodies, but there was a sudden big surge in viral videos depicting apparently normal objects suddenly being revealed to be cake. At that time, it was most definitely a meme, and "everything is cake" was the phrase being used. See e.g. asset #25185882 for a clear example.

I've never personally heard the term "illusion cake" before but it also does seem commonly used. Googling both "illusion cake" and "everything is cake" both give plenty of relevant results, though I'll note that the subreddit devoted to the concept is called r/Everythingiscake/.
