Curious question from new user

Hello, I just have a curiosity about how people use Danbooru. When I upload new images, they often get voted up and favorited by many users who, upon looking at their profile, have insane amounts of favorites. Sometimes in the hundreds of thousands, and once in the millions (and on a deleted post strangely). There's often little to no other interactions from these accounts. Are these bots? Or is there a genuine purpose to saving so many posts? And why might a bot event want to save them anyway?

People like lots of art and lots of art is good. It's a way of saving it for later, as you can use the fav metatag to narrow down results.

Anyhow there are a lot of people with 100k+ favs. "fav:self" or Favourite mode (builder/gold/plat+) lets you favourite anything really quickly, and these people have been browsing db for years

Ah I see. And best way to get builder/gold/plat now is through raffles and just being helpful on the site right?

The user who I saw with the most was @Ace7747X

when i first joined trying to look at claverhouses or ichimashipotatos profiles timed out rather than load their favorites

also yeah by uploading just 5 posts you are now in the top 0.13% of danbooru uploaders, most people who make accounts just favorite art

Y'know how they say gacha games get 90% of profits from 10% of users? Same thing applies with danbooru userbase and uploads and editing.
