Gun tags

BUR #35228 has been rejected.

create implication h&k_g11 -> bullpup
create implication h&k_g11 -> caseless_firearm
create implication p90 -> personal_defense_weapon
create implication h&k_mp7 -> personal_defense_weapon

H&K G11 is a bullpup.
H&K G11 is also a caseless firearm, its whole deal is the ammo is caseless.
Both the P90 and H&K MP7 are PDWs (personal Defense Weapons).

What merit is there to creating tags for these weapon types? I'm not much of a gun guy, even though I play Girls' Frontline, so it strikes me as unnecessary to include tags for something like "personal defense weapon". Maybe "caseless firearm" has a shot, since that sounds more taggable at a glance.

The thing about going into the nitty gritty details of each weapon class is that there are a lot of overlaps/redundancy between the distinct main weapon class tags.

Since a PDW is a broad/umbrella term to define the role of a gun, it can apply to a submachine gun, a short-barreled rifle, or a machine pistol.

Caseless firearms would be nigh impossible to tag without intricate knowledge of the firearm itself.

Guns is the same. They're already implied through the gun tree in other ways and there's only so much granularity that's actually helpful to average joes.

I guess maybe the only one that has some form of merit is h&k g11 -> bullpup since bullpup is actually a tag that already exists? But I don't know shitfuck about guns so other people who do would have to weigh in on that.

This kind of classification belongs in the wiki not in the tags. If you want to make a list of guns and organize them by firing mechanism or ammunition type or role or whatever else, you can do that. Putting all this in the tagging system makes the tag hierarchy too complicated.
