I was trying to upload a post from Tumblr and kept getting error messages. I remember people talking about this before but couldn't find an exact thread. Is danbooru permanently blocked by Tumblr or will it work again after a while like Twitter?

If it's a protected link (as in the blog is only viewable to signed-in users), you might have to upload it manually since I don't think the danbooru uploader has a dedicated tumblr account to utilize.
tumblr has a setting for your blogs that make them unviewable unless you're logged in. if the post is from one of those accounts, you won't be able to upload it through the page, i think
pasting the image link will still work (though danbooru won't be able to extract the actual post url), and as long as the post is active on tumblr you should be able to see a link to the image's source post in the upper left corner. correcting the source manually to that and clicking "fetch source data" when you're ready to upload it will also automatically fill out the artist for you as normal, though it won't fetch the commentary
alternatively, i've been using the upload to danbooru browser add-on, though keep in mind to ALWAYS be on the exact page for the post*, else it won't autocorrect the source to the correct post (it either won't do anything if you're, say, on the dashboard, or it'll correct to the wrong post if you're browsing the "see more" section on a blog under a specific different post). that add-on does to the source more or less what correcting the source manually does, except the source stays corrected if you close the tab (it doesn't fetch the commentary for you or anything)
*this limitation is not in place for twitter, but i found it is for bluesky and tumblr, and presumably other sites i'm not aware of too

you can open the link from the upper left corner (labelled as hover over) as normal (be it by clicking on it or copying the url), it'll just be the post. but it works only as long as the post on tumblr is not deleted, if it's deleted there will be nothing in that upper left corner. sometimes it'll be just the image, sometimes it'll be the same view as in my screenshot just without the pfp and "<author> on tumblr", like this shows up as just the image for me, but this is the view with the login button and whatnot (post #8551494)
