Do We Really Need Magical Musket?

Magical musket is the tag used for Tomoe Mami's signature gun, but from what it seems it's used as a pad tag for her, with only one page of results if you add a -Tomoe_Mami to the search. Do we...really need this tag then? Especially since we have a tag for muskets as guns now, for those who really wanna see her with her guns.

Her guns have a unique design, I think it deserves it's own tag.

If it's tied to just the single character then it doesn't necessarily need to be its own tag because it's effectively equal to just the character search. You can check out the many debates on specific weapon tags, especially such in the case of Genshin Impact, for precedent. It's design may be unique enough but if it's not being carried or depicted in any other fashion except the character it's intended for, it's pointless padding.

Strongest case for keeping it in my opinion is that there is non-Madoka art that has it. It's at least not a tag with 100% overlap of one specific character.

This is only true if the character always has the weapon. 2000~ posts for the weapon vs 15000 posts for the character makes it pretty obvious that's not the case here. You cannot just search Tomoe Mami and find her gun with no additional effort.

Tomoe_mami gun works (musket doesn't because it's not populated) but there's also just over a page of her gun without Mami present. I have no idea how you would find these without its own tag.

Fair enough. Also, assuming the leftover results aren't mistags (Sento Isuzu should not be tagged with magical musket).

Might be worth adding a qualifier to avoid mistags like that.

Sento Isuzu's weapon is apparently named Steinberger.
