lots of people refer to him by his full title+name; from fan/artist discussion, artist commentaries. in the game by other characters "Fon Master Ion" is also often used to refer to him as a formality
I'd still say Ion (Tales) being the main name is fine but I think this is a worthy utility alias. "Ion (Tales)" also appears after like 5 other Ion tags in the dropdown after typing Ion
