This has been a catch-all term for images mostly depicting industrial smoke and sometimes large amount of trash.
Not sure if this should better stay or not.
I would like to propose "wastewater" tag for water that appears murky and polluted, such as post #4438839, post #7737889 and post #4286046.
As well as oil_spill for post #841424 and post #2160833 (paints are mostly oil-based)
