Money fan is an older tag I just populated and then I realized that the name is kind of confusing. "Should it look exactly like a fan?" is the sort of question that pops up when I see the name, which could be up for debate. Assuming the answer is "No, not necessarily", this new name is slightly less confusing. There's also post #6010420, a literal money fan. One downside is that the new name isn't as snappy, which I quite like about the old name.

money fanned out sounds like it'd also cover any depiction of money spread out, say fanned out on the table and not simply held in the hand.

But yeah, I don't think that's an issue. Also, that can be easily covered by money fanned out + holding money.

EDIT: Actually, how about a tag for "fanning oneself with things that aren't fans"?

Shouldn't this just be called money spread?

I think the chance of someone mistaking this tag for aficionados of currency is very very low, especially considering the much higher chance of mistags for money fanned out.
