Still confused about the tag for the footwear pumps. The description writes:
Low-cut, dressy high heels.
And it states also:
This tag implicates high heels.
I don't get it. Is it referring to these kinds of pumps, also known as court shoes?:
"a shoe with a low-cut front, or vamp, with either a shoe buckle or a black bow as ostensible fastening."
Because if that's the case, they don't alway have high heels, and are historically unisex.
The tag is also confusing because high-heels and pumps can be used synonymously (source).
In the high heels wiki description it states pumps as "high heels with a low, revealing cut".
Are they just referring to stiletto heels? What's the difference betweens pumps and stilettos?
When I look up pumps (Cambridge dictionary) these are the images I get.
Is the second image supposed to be the correct one? Because if so, the images tagged as pumps on the booru vary wildly from that.
I wondered what other's peoples thoughts were on the tag. I must be missing something, since I'm not familiar with American English terminology.
Image examples would be especially helpful, so the wiki pages could have visuals on what the differences are.
