Umbrella tag for the first three Ace Attorney games

These games are frequently grouped together since they all depict Phoenix Wright's first few years of lawyering. Capcom themselves also sell the trilogy as one game nowadays. The appearances of recurring characters are also consistent, like Maya Fey, Mia Fey, Larry Butz, etc.

Capcom now sells the next trilogy (Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, Dual Destinies, Spirit of Justice) as a set as well, but they're hardly as connected as the first three are, so I'll leave them out of the umbrella tag treatment for now.

The last line isn't necessary. If it was, then the other implications you're trying to create would fail.

I'm pretty sure it is, because for forum #280085 (transformers unicron trilogy) I changed the tag category myself, and for forum #278606 (osomatsu (series)), I made forum #279425.

I see. I assumed that since cross-category implications were not allowed, that they wouldn't be supported by BURs and thus either fail or change the tag category automatically.

Normally you wouldn't even be able to submit the BUR I think, but tags that never existed can't have a category so it doesn't apply to them.

This just seems like overkill. What exactly will this do besides adding a new tag to hundreds of posts?

I was thinking, for posts that depict just, say, Maya Fey or Phoenix Wright in their initial appearances, we could use only the umbrella tag since they're not specific to any one game in that trilogy.

We could instead imply the two sequels to the first game, but that would make searching things specific to the first game harder for obvious reasons.
