Tag Suggestion: Reducing cum_on_* tags

I've heard many complaints about there being too many cum_on_* tags. Here's an attempt to try to reduce some of them...

I left out the tags I thought are more revered that people would want to keep, like cum_on_breasts, cum_on_hair, etc. Most of the ones here have less than 20, some around 50.
Feel free to add or remove tags that want to be deleted or preserved, and none of this is in effect yet of course (and probably won't until a lot of screening/some debating has been done)

I'm expecting many mixed reactions to the current list so I'll edit it according to what seems like popular prefrence.

We didn't implicate the approriate clothing parts to approiate area of body (upper/lower body)

What NWF originally proposed was to have clothing articles be in cum_on_*_body tags, but looks like I kinda warped his idea and used it on body parts instead. Sorry XD
Oh well, as I said, could have been troublesome if we had not-worn clothing with cum

About Cum vs Semen:

Cum:

Pros

• Easier to write/shorter
• Applies for both genders
• Usable as both a noun and verb

Cons

• Makes Danbooru feel like a porn site
• Vulgar/slang

Well, pretty much, if you don't want danbooru being a porn site to you, don't search for explict tags, and you'll never have to worry about running into *cum* tags.
Bottom Line:If you search for explicit stuff, you're searching danbooru as a porn site, and you will run into sexual slang on porn sites.
It should be kept as it is.

And for everyone else: yeah, basically if you have an idea, objection, or suggestion to move something into/out of the alias zone, say what

I'd pretty much agree to any proposal that shrunk the number of these tags, really, since I almost don't even want to read any such proposal. +1.

That was hyperbole. Don't worry, I won't actually vote for something without reading it :P TBH, though, I posted that before you edited the OP. Reading it again... I really don't care what happens to the ones you expressed doubt about. The fewer of them survive, the better, IMO.

The only problem with this, as I recall, is that "semen" only covers male ejaculation and "cum" supposedly covers both. If that even matters. *shrug*

At any rate, the list looks fine. Let's get rid of as many of these as we can.

I personally don't have any issues with removing all of those, but perhaps there should be some others to give a rough estimate of where on the body the cum/semen is. Cum_on_clothes covers an extremely broad area, so if there was something like a cum_on_lower_body (or something) at least people could narrow down to things like leggings, shoes, thighhighs, socks, etc by using it with cum_on_clothes without having to have a single tag for every single specific article of clothing. Additionally then the cum_on_body could be used with such tags for instances where it's just on the body, but still narrow it down to a rough general area of the body.

That sounds like a good plan, I'll organize the list a bit when I get home from night class

This has been brought up a number of times but we've never really gotten anywhere with it. So do people care or not?

No point in me doing aliases until we decide on that.

I'd personally prefer semen for the tags.

I prefer cum to semen; it's shorter, more general, and still gets the point across.

cum_inside should stay.

Handle location-based cum tags by referencing general body parts: cum_on_leg, cum_on_arm, cum_on_head, cum_on_chest, cum_on_belly, and cum_on_pelvis for humans. Others may be possible for nonhumans (such as cum_on_tail), but should be rare enough that such tags would be useless. Hands, feet, and/or face might also be worth preserving; but I wouldn't get any more detailed than that. But consolidate all of the clothing-based ones to cum_on_clothes.

The pics are what they are, and I don't supose more clinical terminology semen is going to change the subject matter or make it any less objectionable to those who already find it so. And as the slang cum seems to be the prefered tag(s) for those interested in proliferating them, it seems unneccesarilly capricious to go about changing them.

As for the general project, seems good so far, though I'm not sure what cum on lower body adds besides just another layer of detail within a hierarchy. If the body part being soiled is important enough to the picture, it probably has it's own tag (or several= armpit armpit_sex).

I'm at a loss to determine why there should be a distinction between cum in mouth and cum on tongue. geez.

Well my stance on the cum_* tags is already well known, but to add to the discussion of cum vs. semen:

The way I see, ejaculate contains more than just semen, so I prefer cum (or ejaculate, but that would be confusing since it's a noun, not an imperative).

So over all, semen may be more scientifically correct, but cum is more generally correct (over all images)?
I mean, as I said, "cum" is also a kind of slang for it, why does it need to be scientifically correct when you're just looking up some porn?
I guess cum is short shorter, can be used as a verb and noun, and can be applied to both genders is what's probably making my neutral position shift towards it slightly...
But if you guys _really_ want it, I'm sure jxh probably wouldn't mind doing it...too much..

Edit: although kinda unrelated, added cum_trail->cum_string alias. I looked and they pretty much all looked the same

I think that's the point. A lot of people object to cum based on the fact that it's vulgar, and helps to give the impression that Danbooru is a porn site.

Well, when you search for explicit stuff, it is a porn site. Just like how bittorrent can be an anime paradise or a hentai portal.
If one doesn't want danbooru to be a porn site (because of cum* tags), then don't search those terms: it won't be a porn site and you won't see those tags either
But let's not continue arguing over that here, that can be dealt with another day, when there's many less tags to change.
