Proposal for an Iyowa / Iyowa Girls copyright tag

Posted under Tags

I'm reposting this from #tagging because it didn't get much traction there and I feel like discussing it here feels more appropriate.
_____
I want to propose an umbrella tag for Iyowa Girls but I don't know if it's even worth it in the first place for various reasons so I'd appreciate some input before anything is done. There are some issues I want to highlight first:

  • Only one character (Kurari-chan) has a name and its a nickname given to her by Pixiv/Twitter users. It's not an official name.
  • Since the characters are pretty detached from what the original tag stands for, the respective song tag could be used to tag the specific character (e.g: If I want pics of the Apricot girl I can just search apricot (vocaloid) ) but let's say I wanted to see fanart of all of the characters: there is no way to search for art of all of them unless I create a saved search with all of the song titles which aside from being very inconvenient saved searches also tend to be very broken in my experience.
  • While the characters don't have names they do have a FA tag on both Pixiv and Twitter and that's where the idea for an Iyowa Girls tag comes in. While "Iyowa" itself might not be eligible for a copyright tag, "Iyowa Girls" could since it's sort of a series, almost like an universe of characters.

tl;dr: I want to make a copytag to make all characters (and content in general) related to Iyowa's PVs easier to search but I don't know if I should since the characters don't have names and we can use *_(vocaloid) tags to find the ones related to specific PVs. If the tag were to exist it wouldn't be the first copytag for a Vocaloid producer that we have (Inabakumori has one).

Someone needs to write a wiki for this.

Late response but I've made the wiki and character tags for the characters whose names were revealed in the April Fools dating sim video (and Twitter considering Iyowa has responded to "what's the girl in (insert music video) called?" type comments before). A couple of them are still unknown but I'm not sure if fan nickname tags should be created or if they should remain untagged. I could maybe add something like that to the wiki if necessary.

From what I know Kurari-chan was a nickname before it became official.
