Thread use aside, there is no need to nuke pye yyy. It will be automatically merged with pye (uzkv3777) upon being aliased.

Hmm, I would have done it for them but should it not be the other way around? The latter tag is the oldest but I don't think pye yyy would be confused with anything and it is easier to search for.

I'm fine with that too, and pye_yyy seems indeed to be a better name

I'd use pye_yyy and swap the entries to keep the older one.

I swapped the entries. Remember that you don't have to request to nuke the tags you want to alias, and next time you create a request related to artists, you should use topic #7713. You have to open the topic and there, click on "Request alias/implication" to create a request attached to it.
