Frying_pan alias

Functionally they're the same thing, but does seem there are some technical differences such as how the sides of the pan are shaped and then also material of their make. Cast iron pretty much are always skillets, while non-cast iron will be a frypan. Probably the main visual to differentiate them would be the presence of a pour spout which frypans usually will never have, while a skillet will frequently have one (ex: post #4068333, post #3951272).

This is a convention difference, for whatever reason it's traditional to make cast iron skillets with spouts and stainless ones without, but there are plenty of exceptions to the rule. Either way, it's too niche of a difference to be useful here. Very few of the posts in skillet have spouts, but many of them are mislabeled pots or other dishes, so I think this alias would definitely make a positive impact.
