Is there a point to the kemono and therianthrope tags? There's a tremendous overlap between them and monster_girl, and they mostly picture mutios.

Only disadvantage to monster_girl I can see is it's gender-specific (c.f. forum #23990) if that's an issue.
Therianthrope (a term I had to look up) is not particularly intuitive without being familiar with the term, but is gender neutral.
Kemono is more or less the Japanese synonymous term (though I think it applies to regular "beasts" as well as anthorpomorphized ones), though we tend to pick English terms where they exist, and either of the above fit the bill.
What about half-human then? Sounds like a tag that's easy enough understand and gender-neutral. Monster girls could then imply half-human.

And then promptly nuked from orbit? Er, I mean...
I wouldn't mind that but looking at it objectively...
Sometimes its hard to draw a line between kemono, monster_girl and furry because it can be subjective.
Some people found post #490856 to be furry, others did not.
Some people find rinpoo_chuan to be furry, others do not.

...so something like 葉月's half-human or maybe humanoid or the like would be better.
Although for a lot of monster_girl it be quite a stretch to actually call them humanoid: post #448032, post #463423, post #481276, post #506378. At least in my mind being humanoid implies being bipedal, and none of those are.
