nuke slave_tattoo

The tag (slave tattoo) requires meta knowledge and context of the source material to know if a specific tattoo is a slave tattoo or a normal one
Also some original images where the character isn't stated to have a slave tattoo are tagged with this

I can see some use cases for it though, where the tattoo just outright says slave
Otherwise it doesn't seem correct that this tag should exist according to the "tag what you see" rule

Does the " glowing-above-groin-tattoo (usually in pink or purple)" in fantasy and sci-fi eroge/hentai (usually in "bad endings") count as slave tattoo? Or is there a separate one for that?

That's pubic_tattoo. womb_tattoo is aliased to it.

Huh, i think the glowing magic ones warrant their own tag tbh, regular tattoo mostly just brings to mind promiscuity while glowy magic one implies rape+mind-break+slave and possibly magic and or wife scenario. Don't know what would be the proper name for it would be without being more than 2 words though.

I believe the word for that would be inmon. Though it also applies to tattoos like this: post #7072195 Either making an inmon tag or populating the glowing tattoo tag more could help narrow stuff like that down.

Edit:
Actually, going through the pubic tattoo and glowing tattoo tags bring up images like post #4924667, post #6133732, and post #7067809 These probably shouldn't be tagged as tattoos as they clearly aren't due to being above clothes. I don't believe we have a tag for this currently, and an inmon tag could help fill that gap.

Great suggestion! And yes I would imply it to that post too since I have seen, er, media where its away from pubic region and it would be still roughly the same idea/purpose/utility.

Edit: Oh wait, I don't think these should get lumped in with glowing tattoo though since I think those would normally imply "powering up" or something along those lines, like avatar: the last airbender.

Edit edit: unless the magic rapey tattoos were away from erotic parts like arms, legs, and maybe neck. Hmm, would that count then? Or no because of canon tagging?

Maybe this could be renamed/aliased with branding? I'm not familiar with Shield Hero which seems to be a bulk of this tag, but I feel like there are specific visual cases where a tattoo is used as a display of ownership. post #2649146 and post #3769720 for instance have girls who are clearly marked as slaves with matching tattoos.

Basically the character Raphtalia is a former slave, and the tattoo above her cleavage is a mark of her (former) slave status. Though given that this tag is 99% used on her posts, I think it's kind of redundant.

deprecate slave_tattoo

I'll deprecate it, because these posts need moving to slave brand, pubic tattoo etc, and from its usage it's clear that it's ambiguous whether "slave tattoo" truly means a slave brand, or just any random corruption sign on the skin.

As for the naming, I don't think it matters much. We can call it tattoo, branding, etc, all it matters is that it's a sign on someone's skin. A lot of our tattoo/mark tags have this problem where both names are technically wrong because they both refer to distinct things that don't fully overlap, like heart facial mark vs heart tattoo, so one more like this is not going to be the end of the world.
