An alias would likely be a better choice because using the season or set type name (bridal, winter, etc) would be a lot easier to remember than their individual attire names. FEH is also pretty consistent on when most of them are released annually.

When FEH started getting alts of characters and we began tagging them here, we considered doing it with the official names of the heroes, but the argument at the time was that nobody would look for, say, Tana_(soothing_warmth) and it made more sense to use tana_(flame) since that's what the community referred to her as most everywhere.

As Omega mentions, there's reasonable consistency to the themes and such, so keeping just the theme in the name makes sense. If we want something more specific owing to the several waves of Spring or whatever theme as the years have gone on, I'd even suggest using the name of the banner first over the specific character's titles.
