BUR #21648 has been approved by @nonamethanks.

remove implication soda_can -> can
remove implication beer_can -> can
remove implication canned_coffee -> can
create implication soda_can -> drink_can
create implication beer_can -> drink_can
create implication canned_coffee -> drink_can
create implication drink_can -> can

There is currently no way to search for drink cans in general. We only have the generic can tag which is for all kinds of cans, and subtags like soda_can that specify the kind of drink inside. This BUR will create a parent tag for any kind of drink can, which will allow us to search for them without resorting to can and its canned_food false positives. It also lets us tag nonspecific drink cans as drink cans.

Maybe "can_(object)" instead? There's something thar irks me about this tag, and should we differentiate between drinking cans and cans for eg soup?

If the latter then we need a food_can tag as well.

Cans designed to be drunk from directly are generally distinct, but cylindrical food cans are not very distinct on what they contain outside of their label. For example without the label you would not be able to easily distinguish between a can of soup from a (very old) can of motor oil or a can of Vienna sausages from a can of air freshener.

Exactly, food cans and drink cans are fine to have but if we tag cans based on "type" we end up having to do a lot of tags for "oil can" "air freshner can" etc. In which case "can_(object)" works better as a catch all for all types of cans.

But if we differentiate, @AngryZapdos could I suggest changing the name to "beverage_can"? Instead of "drink can"?
