Note: I will talk about Lobotomy Corporation spoilers, so if you don't want leave now

So.
To give a quick recap to people unfamiliar with the lore - X is the player character, who is Ayin(?, debated) who wiped out his own memories. He regains them during the course of the game.
Because of that, almost every depiction of X is Ayin wearing a sheet of paper with X written on it taped to his face.
(Examples: post #6470415, post #6802320, post #6493866)

My question is, should X:
- Imply Ayin, because it's Ayin
- Be left as it is, because it's a separate Ayin like Abram, Abel and Adam
- A third, more sinister option Nuked or reworked, because it's just Ayin wearing a sheet of paper on his head

What I think is that it could be nuked and reworked into some paper taped to face kind of gentag. It's not something exclusive to him, it's a common way to depict Blue Archive's Sensei (blue archive) too (post #6817540, post #6594841, etc)

Also because, how should post #6608586 and post #6442381 be tagged? I think it would be awkward to tag them as cosplays.

EDIT: There is post #6208912 which doesn't let the third option happen.

As the person who ended up creating that very tag...Yeah, I saw a thread like this coming in hindsight. I felt it ought to only be used with the "Ayin with a sheet of paper taped to its head" sort of depiction, but that kinda falls apart when something like post #6442381 or post #6208912 crops up. I always took it to be more a "temporary" tag, for lack of a better term, until the Ayin tagging situation gets ironed out (and if kept, have certain parameters applied to it).

If you were to ask me for what ought to be done, I'd say treat it as a separate Ayin (because that's effectively what X is in a lore context), but only when you can visibly tell it is meant to be X and not Ayin. Otherwise, just tag Ayin because what you can see is much more important. Which...would mainly be these "paper stuck to Ayin's head" depictions. I wouldn't be against a nuke for this tag personally, but while I don't know how much of it is on Danbooru, I have found art where X is used more as a "player insert" or OC by artist as opposed to a dual persona of Ayin's before (and is drawn to match). If any of that is on here or ever were to make its way on here, how would we tag that? Original? There might be some viability in having an X (Project Moon) tag around for those cases. But the "Ayin with paper on his head" situation is vastly more common, so let's work within that context for now instead of bringing up a future possibility like that. That can come later.

Also, I would love a gentag for these "paper stuck to face" situations. Probably not under a name like paper taped to face, but I think it would be immensely helpful, especially if this isn't limited to X (meaning a tag to cover a situation like this would be more beneficial than not to the whole booru, not just a specific subsection) This is especially in the case X (Project Moon) gets nuked or merged into Ayin (Project Moon) or whatever else may become of it.

Edit: Paper taped to head works! Though it might be wise to make a wiki to clarify its intended use so that people don't take the name literally and add it to any sheet of paper on a character's head as opposed to covering the face. Hm...Perhaps paper censor might work as an alternative?

Perhaps this is what you truly want? "Paper taped to head" sounds very generic and could mean a lot of things, such as ofuda on head.

I'm leaning towards no because sometimes the sheet of paper doesn't cover the face.

I just realized this tag already exists: paper_on_head.

I think the current name might be too generic/confusing? But I'm not against leaving it as is.
