It's its species, and unlike some other cases like Genshin's Sigewinne where playable characters are vastly different from their species (the Melusine in this case), any Warp Trotter and Numby look almost the same, so someone searching for the Warp Trotter tag wouldn't mind seeing Numby in its posts.
(Using Genshin as an example because it's the same company/extended universe.. -ish.)
