The only thing that connects all of the various fushigi_no_dungeon subseries is their core gameplay - just take a look at its wiki page. This would be akin to having a parent tag for all of the various Warriors games (fire_emblem_warriors, Dynasty Warriors aka. shin_sangoku_musou, hyrule_warriors etc.), which as I'm sure you can imagine would be just as pointless. However, fushigi_no_dungeon is perhaps even less useful than that; 95% of its posts are just pokemon_mystery_dungeon, essentially making it a second search for PMD. There's really no reason to keep it around.

Was going to vote no since I assumed there were mainline Mystery Dungeon games with original characters, but literally every entry is a spin-off of another property.

The Fuurai no Shiren subseries is original, but has the weird caveat that the first Shiren game was subtitled "Fushigi no Dungeon 2" to make it look as if it were a sequel to Torneko no Daibouken: Fushigi no Dungeon (the first game anywhere in the series, and a Dragon Quest spinoff.)

That said I personally agree with AngryZapdos that the lack of any Danbooru-relevant connections between the subseries and the manner in which Pokemon Mystery Dungeon dominates the tag makes it useless.
