Settling the post #2675041 tag war

Posted under General

As I'm sure you all know, Danbooru's infamously compulsive yuri/hetero tagger, @SSJG, has finally met with a permanent ban. What you may not have realized is that their unfortunate demise means that a premature end has been brought to one of Danbooru's more amusing displays of autism: the post #2675041 tag war.

For the last three and half years, SSJG and @cokerpilot have been reverting each other's edits to this post on a weekly basis. SSJG adds yuri, cokerpilot removes it, ad infinitum. The total post edits on this now sit at 223 (12 pages!) which is, as far as I am aware, a site record. But with SSJG gone, cokerpilot seems poised to claim a victory by default, and I think that this would be a tragically disappointing conclusion to SSJG's legacy.

Personally, I think that SSJG is correct and the post should be tagged yuri. It's two girls in wedding outfits, clearly depicted as married or getting married. Eli is wearing traditional husband's attire, and Nozomi is wearing an uchikake. They're getting married. It's a romantic interaction—it is yuri.

If no one disagrees I would like to tag it as yuri and close the door on this particular tag war, once and for all, with an instruction from mods to stop editing it, if needed.

Hard agree on it being tagged yuri. The only real argument I could see being made against it is "well, what if their (male) lovers are just off screen?! what if its a male pov, and theyre both getting married to me, huh?!?!?!?" which is a level of delusional insanity I don't think we should really tolerate.

Sadly I've only come to learn of this incredible display of Danbooru's position on the spectrum after it's finished (at least so it seems).

I completely agree with this reasoning, and if I were tagging this I'd definitely tag it yuri because of it.

That would only make sense if both were wearing women’s wedding attire. Why would Eli be wearing men’s wedding attire in some kind of strictly hetero setting that we’re trying to construct here?

I saw that argument when it happened, how have they been doing this for three years??

Full support on it being tagged yuri, it's absurd to me that anyone would unironically disagree.

Same, I'm tempted to throw out a ban for this behaviour.

I did ask for the mods to weigh in back in the day. If you guys think It's Yuri I will leave it alone, I saw it as just two girls dressing up for a photo shoot but understand if people disagree with me.

It's a photo shoot that specifically dressed two girls in matching wedding attire. Even in the in-universe context of "it's just a photo shoot" it's a photo shoot depicting a lesbian couple as its premise. The intended takeaway is clearly yuri, even if the two subjects aren't actually in a relationship.

Never receiving any mod input does not mean you should spend three and a half years edit warring with another user. If you really wanted additional input you could have DM'd a mod or brought it up in the forums at any time, not autistically checked the post every two weeks to see if a Builder readded it so you could remove it.

I appear to have caused some seemingly well-deserved anger and irritation here and for that, I apologize. You are right should have asked the forum or Dm'd a mod I don't know why that didn't occur to me.

But all yuri and futa art is self-inserting.
Since were here about artworks that have a set that we know turns into het we should remove the tag
