I didn't say to call it "zeff", I said to call it zeff_(one_piece). In my opinion changing that name can make it much easier for FANS to search for art of this character, plus in MY opinion no one in the fandom really refers to that character as "red shoes" or "red leg", simply They know him as "Zeff." Finally, and in my opinion, giving it that name helps to keep the characters of any series in better order, that is, "character_(one_piece)", "character_(dragon_ball)". That is, have more discipline regarding character names.
Your opinion isn't my concern, because I'm talking about the fact that typing "zeff" into the search bar gets you this. Whether it's red shoes zeff, zeff (one piece) or jsjdnlaisjdaknfksbflaksnfsjd zeff, the result is the same. Changing the tag in any way doesn't make the character easier to find, because searching "Zeff" will always work. I agree that the tag should be changed, because "red shoes" is wrong, he's "Red-Leg Zeff" in Japanese and "Red Foot Zeff" in English, so either of those would be better, but I disagree with removing the epithet.
Also, you can't have an opinion on what people call him. They either do, or don't, and it's irrelevant in either case because all anyone needs to type is "zeff". It doesn't really matter if people call him by his full alias or not, because any fan of the show, which is who you're claiming this would help, would recognize him if you say "Red-Leg Zeff" because that's how he's introduced.
I hate reducing character tags to "firstname_(copyright)" for the sake of blind consistency. Qualifiers are ugly, we shouldn't use them if we don't have to. There's no reason to remove all these epithets from these characters. If anything, the more unique full aliases as tags make them easier to remember and recognize, for fans and non-fans alike, and it doesn't hurt searching for them at all.
