One Piece alias request thread

BUR #19844 has been rejected.

create alias red_shoes_zeff -> zeff_(one_piece)
create alias red_leg_zeff -> zeff_(one_piece)

Simplifying the name could make it easier for fans to search for art of this specific character. Besides the fact that "red shoes" is just an alias, it's not really his name. In addition to the fact that this alias is not actually what he is known for or what he is referred to as, it is actually "red leg".

BUR #19968 has been rejected.

rename tama_(one_piece) -> o-tama_(one_piece)
create alias otama_(one_piece) -> o-tama_(one_piece)

Alternate BUR

I think the name o-tama is enough for her. She's most commonly known as that as mentioned in her wiki too. Also pretty sure that aliasing both tama and o-tama would be redundant because of the autocomplete.

We probably don't find out she's kurozumi until the arc ends anyway so it seems unnecessary to make it the main tag or even mention it at all.
I just got spoiled about this thanks to this BUR because I'm not caught up yet lol.

There's precedent with this as well with characters like Sanji who even when he got his full name we didn't tag or alias him with it because it would be a spoiler.
If we think that it's necessary to alias the kurozumi name we can just add another alias here later.

I don't think it's a spoiler because the author revealed that detail on an SBS, implying that for him it is not necessarily such important or shocking information, and he didn't even say that information in a chapter of the manga.

My bad.
That just makes me think that nobody will know her by that name then though.

In fact it could be quite the opposite. Because after her last name was revealed there was controversy regarding an issue that happened in the manga about this girl's last name, that is, the fate of this character was at stake. The author had to respond by saying that nothing bad is going to happen to this character for having that last name. So I think the fandom will definitely remember her more for that.

I would rather we just aliased the current tag to red leg zeff. Typing "zeff" into the search bar is already enough to have his tag at the top of the list, removing the epithet does basically nothing to make the character easier to search for because it's already as easy as it could be.

I didn't say to call it "zeff", I said to call it zeff_(one_piece). In my opinion changing that name can make it much easier for FANS to search for art of this character, plus in MY opinion no one in the fandom really refers to that character as "red shoes" or "red leg", simply They know him as "Zeff." Finally, and in my opinion, giving it that name helps to keep the characters of any series in better order, that is, "character_(one_piece)", "character_(dragon_ball)". That is, have more discipline regarding character names.

Your opinion isn't my concern, because I'm talking about the fact that typing "zeff" into the search bar gets you this. Whether it's red shoes zeff, zeff (one piece) or jsjdnlaisjdaknfksbflaksnfsjd zeff, the result is the same. Changing the tag in any way doesn't make the character easier to find, because searching "Zeff" will always work. I agree that the tag should be changed, because "red shoes" is wrong, he's "Red-Leg Zeff" in Japanese and "Red Foot Zeff" in English, so either of those would be better, but I disagree with removing the epithet.

Also, you can't have an opinion on what people call him. They either do, or don't, and it's irrelevant in either case because all anyone needs to type is "zeff". It doesn't really matter if people call him by his full alias or not, because any fan of the show, which is who you're claiming this would help, would recognize him if you say "Red-Leg Zeff" because that's how he's introduced.

I hate reducing character tags to "firstname_(copyright)" for the sake of blind consistency. Qualifiers are ugly, we shouldn't use them if we don't have to. There's no reason to remove all these epithets from these characters. If anything, the more unique full aliases as tags make them easier to remember and recognize, for fans and non-fans alike, and it doesn't hurt searching for them at all.

Hello, I respect your opinion on the issue, but I also personally disagree with it. Good luck and may you do well.

The "o-" part is just a female prefix used by the citizens of Wano, it's not actually part of her name.
