A cold sweat is a type of nervous sweating, especially one caused by fear. Probably not enough to be separate, but enough to be a utility alias.
Cold sweat just means feeling chilled combined with sweating and is caused by a lot of things beyond simply being nervous. It can be caused by your body going into shock (post #6559883), illness, heart attack, having a lack of oxygen, menopause, and nervousness/anxiety.
