Wikipedia said:
A shell, in a military context, is a projectile whose payload contains an explosive, incendiary, or other chemical filling. Originally it was called a bombshell, but "shell" has come to be unambiguous in a military context.
Shells are usually large-caliber projectiles fired by artillery, armored fighting vehicles (e.g. tanks, assault guns, and mortar carriers),
The main problem is that many users cannot simply discern the caliber and specific type of a shell depicted in a picture, whenever it is meant to be fired from a specific, tank, mortar, etc.. While somehow I wonder if bombshell might be the better catch-all term or not. It's all up to admin decision.
They are still similar types of ammunition, no matter if the shells have stabilizing fins, armor-piercing tip, or such features.
Can admins please reconsider this issue? Feel free to criticize. While tagging should not be that difficult.
