create alias suv -> sports_utility_vehicle
The acronym is the more commonly used terminology. Would make tagging/searching easier for these sorts of vehicles. Alternatively, if something like suv_(vehicle) or suv_(automobile) is more acceptable, do let me know.

This utility alias itself is still a good idea for the sake of searchability, despite the function of putting / for finding such tag (e.g. /mv for motor_vehicle) is also possible. It's better not to use in-parentheses qualifier if possible and does not cause ambiguity, also because we do not use the automobile tag.
However, do you / does anybody else think sports utility vehicle should also imply car as well?

Er, see forum #227192 about that. Personally, I don't think a car implication is in order as I consider it to be a separate class of vehicle.
Though there are likely some posts tagged with car instead of it especially in art where vehicles are less-detailed background props as they aren't the main focal point of the image. But those should probably be left to those who'd garden them to motor vehicle as the linked forum post suggests.
