you can still technically vote on posts when you hover on thumbnails, but i admit it's not convenient at all
also would be nice if there were vote shortcuts
hopefully, once this reverts back the voting will be brought back.

Is there a way to disable/hide reactions?
I tested custom CSS styles(in settings>>advanced) once before, but for some reason the code I used to remove the comment section doesn't work for this feature.
The tested code (which does not work):
div #post-reactions {
display: none.
}
div #mb-2 {
display: none;
}
div #post-reactions.mb-2 {
display: none;
}
It might be possible to use Adguard or Adblock Plus to manually select and block a page element, but I haven't tested this method on this feature, and this method (as far as I know) only works on computers, which is unfriendly to users like me who usually browse Danbooru on mobile.

Wait a few hours, they'll be gone eventually.
If it doesn't go away after a few hours, or doesn't provide an option to enable or disable this feature, I'll be upset. It's not reasonable to let people who say eggs don't taste good lay one of their own, is it?
I'm not opposed to keeping this feature in the forum, but I am opposed to keeping it in artwork posts because it unnecessarily implies that characters adopt short-term mate selection strategies (i.e., "promiscuity"), thus making certain images or characters less attractive.

I'm pleased to announce a new feature: reactions! Reactions allow you express your feelings about a post or comment in the form of an emoji. Just press the Add Reaction icon beneath a post or comment to add your reaction.
The voting and favoriting systems have been removed in favor of reactions. Reactions are more versatile, plus it means commenters and uploaders no longer have to worry about pesky anonymous users downvoting them for no reason.
I'm happy to bring Danbooru one step closer to being a modern social media platform!
So how do we still favorite things?

(Pssst, if you really need it, just scroll to the bottom of the page - there's this section named "Options", and you can still use it to fav posts)
Better get used to it, kiddo. This is the reality of the site now.
Scrolling down just to check the old fav is not very good experience, especially on mobile
Still why don't we merge the old favorite to the new one? It's very simple and backward compartible. Very understandable if this was just 1 time joke April fool, but if it was serious then this is really bad move

what the actual fuck are you talking about?

I dont like this too much, i would prefer to preset the vote buttons and add the reaction button in the middle with the reaction below
I get the reasons for removing the scoring and showing how many people favourited the post, but I really liked it and it gave me a sense of interaction or community and giving me an idea of how many people seen and liked the image too.
Yeah reactions can serve the same and even better function of interaction, but I still really like seeing the scores since not everyone is going to use reactions, but the majority of people universally favourite a post for functional reasons.

I disagree. Reactions are by far the most superior feature in every way conceivable. I'm glad the admins were forward thinking enough to bring this much needed change to this site today
